F3 – Nicholas Latifi ready to leave for Valencia

slatifi_valencia_mini.jpg' This weekend at the Ricardo Tormo will start the Italian Formula 3 European Series and the Italo-Canadian Nicholas Lafiti begin the challenge in the world of Formula.

Valencia will be the first of 8 events the championship and the first held outside of Italy in the Italian Championship, together with Hungary (Hungaroring) and Austria (Red Bull Ring).
Since the Friday practice, sixteen year old will discover all the secrets of the Dallara track for qualifying and three races.
In winter testing the young driver went to the discovery of some tracks in Europe reaching a good feeling with the team BVM-Target, and FTP with Dallara, but the real unknown is represented by race. Between a kart and a car, the differences are considerable, both in the running of the race in the development.
In addition to the staff team BVM-Target, Latifi can still rely on the experience of Minardi Management and manager Giovanni Minardi will closely follow the path of the driver through a series of sporting expertise.
NICHOLAS LATIFI: “I’m really looking forward to the first race of the season in Valencia. It will be my first race in an F3 car so I’m just going to keep an open mind going in with no expectations, but I really want to experience. I’ve driven the Valencia circuit a few times and have grown a liking to it. It’s a very technical track and should make for some good racing. The only other challenge I am anticipating is when I actually have to “race” in the car. In a kart I am used to practically being right on my competitors bumper through turns, and with cars, especially cars with downforce, it is very difficult to do this“
GIOVANNI MINARDI “I’m looking forward to this new experience with Nicholas. During winter testing, despite his lack of experience with the world of Formula car, made me realize that Nicholas has the characteristics to be a winning driver. We expect a challenging year because Nicholas will learn a lot in a short time, but I’m sure will appeal to big results. The title win in Canadian Championship “Florida Winter Tour DD2” is a manifestation. We hope to leave with the right foot in Formula 3. Can also count on the support and the know how of an experienced team like the BVM-Target, which has won the last three titles”
