F. Abarth – In Imola Fuoco and Santilli will be behind the wheel of the Tatuus of the ACI-CSAI Federation

andrea_filaferro.jpg'FAENZA – With the sixth race of Formula Abarth which will take place at Imola circuit (on programme the week-end of September the 2nd), spotlights will be turned again on the second meeting of the ACI CSAI-FDA project which is fully devoted to those young drivers who came to the fore in the past season of kart championship.

During the collective test on Thursday , the 17-year-old driver from Pescara Alessio Santilli and the 16-year-old driver from Cosenza Antonio Fuoco, confirmed by the FDA after his positive performance during the test in Misano Adriatico, will be behind the wheel of the two Tatuus FA, provided by the Federation itself. This will be a very important chance for the two guys to compete with official drivers, as Gian Carlo Minardi says “ This new project is devoted to those guys who, after coming to the fore during the past season of the kart championship, haven’t find the economic resources to make a leap forward to get into upper categories. The Federation School and the FDA have joined their forces to give them the possibility to take a leap forward. It’s very important to introduce young drivers to the press and to championship teams who, thanks to this project, will have the chance to see them in action with the official drivers during a race week-end. At the same time they don’t miss a racing season and will have the opportunity of driving a training car such as the Tatuus.”
In confirmation of the Federation’s sensitiveness towards very young drivers, in the month of July started the 1st Kart Summer Camp promoted by ACI CSAI in collaboration with the CSAI-Acisport Federation School and the FDA. The summer camp took place at Sarno international circuit, scene of three World Championships, ten European Championships and three World Cups. The summer kart camp is devoted to very young drivers who begin to get into the world of kart and its aim is to teach them the basics of this sport “ It’s been a very important experience both for us and the guys. Thanks to this project, coordinated by Raffaele Gian Maria and technically handled by Gabriele Lancieri, ACI CSAI and the Federation School take a look at young boys with the aim of teaching them the basics. Everybody has been a good performer and this is a great hope for the future. This is the starting year and we’re working hard on next edition” , says the supervisor Gian Carlo Minardi.
“ At the Ring, on the occasion of the Italian Championship of the Formula ACI CSAI Abarth and the Italian F3 European Series, I had the pleasure to meet the little kart performer Andrea Filaferro who attended the 1st Kart Summer Camp in July”, says again the manager from Faenza.
