Last year Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc shared, respectively, the win in the spring race and in the grand prix. Certainly, the Dutchman and Red Bull come to the track as pretenders for success and if Ferrari can confirm the good things shown in the final part in Montreal it could enter into the tussle for a place on the podium.

Unlike what happened on the other tracks, it was able to keep pace with Red Bull, Mercedes, and Aston Martin. The conditions they will find at Spielberg are certainly different from Montreal. We are faced with a very fast track with various bends that stress the tyres (Pirelli brought the C3-C4-C5) whose 4,318m can be covered in just over a minute.

Precisely for this reason qualifying on Friday will be a fundamental step for the final result, also because it is preceding free practice by only an hour as there will be the sprint trace. Just like Mercedes, Ferrari has carried out an important effort in the last month which is starting to bear fruit. Furthermore, there will be further new developments tested at Fiorano on the filming day.

We are about to enter a hot and intense month of July before the summer break, which will introduce us to the second part of the season.
